Torah on Tap
Sunday, Feb. 19th 4–5pm
Habitat Tavern & Commons
174 Broadway Street, Asheville

Protests in the streets, changing definitions of gender at home and corporate ethics run amuck. And that's on a slow day!

Ever feel like it’s all spinning out of control? You’re not alone. Fortunately, we have 4,000 years of wisdom at our disposal that can help us make sense of our changing world.

Join us at Habitat Tavern & Commons, 4pm on Feb. 19th. We'll enjoy a cold pint or two and discuss today’s hot topics from a Jewish perspective.

  • What's the Torah's take on minimum wage?
  • Is gender equality addressed in the Talmud?
  • Would Hillel have been pro-choice or pro-life?

Come see how our timeless tradition can help us deal with the craziness in the world today. Hopefully, this first get-together will be the beginning of an on-going monthly study group. A different brewery each month - a different topic for discussion. We'll see.
