Pre B'nai Mitzvot

Dear Parents,

We had so far 2 classes in Bet Sefer:

1st class:

1.We started to compose the code of conduct for our class.

2. We went outside to the nature, the students spread around in a distance from each other, and had to stay alone and observe while answering 3 questions:

I. What do you see?

II. What do you hear?

III. What do you feel?

We gathered again for sharing.

3. Game: getting to know you - People Bingo

4. In class - we started to study Leviticus. We covered Kashrut (11:1-46), and Yom Kippur (16:1-34).

The discussion was very lively and the students were very involved.

We still have all the rest of the book to go through :-)...

2nd class:

1. We gathered in the Sukkah with the Rabbi and the congregation for the Hallel and the shaking of the Lulav. Was fun and informative.

In class -

2. Getting to know you: we played the game, two truths and one lie.

3. Ushpezine exercise: In the Sukkah imagine you have a guest, a person from the Torah or the other books.

We had, Moses, Hannah, Pharaoh, and Eve before she ate from the fruit ;-)
