The play, A Peddler Knocked, focuses on the first Jewish immigrant, a

the local people have never met a Jew before. Mostly things go well
but there are threats from the Ku Klux Klan and an inter faith love
affair, taboo at the time, between Molly and David.
Good parts are available for men and women.
Jake Rosenthal: A peddler and an immigrant
Joe Allen Trantham: An Appalachian farmer
Rivka Rosenthal: Jake’s Russian born wife
David Rosenthal: Jake and Rivka’s son
Molly Trantham: Joe Allen’s daughter
