The 1st Annual Scrabble Tournament: Vying for the Kiddush Cup
Proceeds to benefit Congregation Beth Israel.
Friday June 4th, 10am -2:30pm outside (under tents for shade and socially distanced)
A Scrabble tournament for fun, prizes, bragging rights, and most
importantly an opportunity to be TOGETHER! While this will be organized
as a tournament, this day is for those with competitive spirit and looking to
have some FUN (so not those interested in a formal, competitive
tournament style, circuit event). A special list of acceptable Yiddish
and Hebrew words will be in use. Beginners and experts are all welcome!
$36 per registration. Lunch and swag included. Register by calling (828) 252-8660 or by clicking here.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the event.
How it will work:
Players will be matched up randomly with another player and will play one game.
Players will then be randomly assigned to play a second game against a different competitor
than game 1.
For the third game, players will be matched up based upon scores from the
first two games.
Winners will be determined (and prizes awarded) based upon a combination of scores from all three games. Special fun awards as well.
Don’t miss this four-day workshop with graphic artist and calligrapher Rick Paulus.
