Much of the work of running CBI - developing programs, providing services, planning events and seeing to the welfare of its members - is handled by a variety of committees. The vision and management of CBI, however, is the responsibility of the CBI's leadership team, a rotating board of individuals who volunteer their time and expertise on behalf of the congregation. The Board is a mix of folks elected by the congregation, plus the heads of selected committees.
The CBI board strives is to be as transparent as possible. All monthly meetings (usually held on the second Thursday of the month) are open to any CBI member who'd like to attend and observe. Board members (typically) serve two-year terms, with many choosing to stay on for multiple terms.
Sooner or later, most everyone is involved in either serving on the Board or working on a committee. We all pitch in to do what needs to done.
