Join us as Rabbi Justin Goldstein provides a visual update on his recent trip to Guatemala.
As a Global Justice Fellow for American Jewish World Service, Rabbi Goldstein recently joined a select group of his peers for a seven-day tour of war-torn Guatemala. From 1960-1996, the country was ravaged by a brutal civil war. More than 20 years later, Guatemala’s largest native population, the Mayan, remain targets of violence, stark poverty and cultural injustice.
Rabbi Goldstein will provide a slide show documenting his trip and will explain the efforts of AJWS to bring these critical issues into the light. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Moog Music parking lot next door to Habitat.
