Social Action Committee Encourages CBI Members to Take a
Hood Huggers Tour
Want to learn more about the history of Black people in Asheville? Join us for a pre-
Shabbat Racial Justice Walk on Friday, May 19 from 1 – 2:30 pm. This 90 minute
walking tour with Hood Huggers International will explore East End and Eagle Street in
Downtown Asheville, home to shops and galleries featuring merchandise and art from
African American artisans and artists, YMI Cultural Center, Stephens Lee Community
Center, The Block, and significant African American architecture. Cost $30 a per person
or $27 for seniors.
