This month, Torah on Tap explores “What Price Community?

As social creatures, humans are drawn together. We rely on each other for just about everything; that’s the foundation for civilization. But to function, every society needs rules. In a democracy, those rules attempt to balance the rights of the individual with the welfare of the community. Therein lies the challenge. Join us for a lively and personal discussion about what freedoms we are willing to give up for the sake of the community. We’ll also discover some very interesting parallels in Judaism, past and present, and see if there is anything we can learn them.  Alan Silverman will facilitate the discussion.

We’ll meet this time in the CBI social hall (in February, we’ll be back at Charlotte Street Pub) from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. Bring your favorite beverage and an open mind.
