The Music Between the Notes
Every day, the universe throws up dozens of stop signs that beg closer inspection and can enrich our lives, sometimes profoundly. But all too often we miss them because we’re too focused on our own needs and thoughts. In doing so, we miss the music between the notes, the small bits of beauty that can be as meaningful as our most fervent prayers.
Join us for Torah on Tap, Sunday October 29th at 4pm in the CBI chapel. Guest presenters Sebastian Matthews and Charter Weeks will use their recent book, Travelogue, as an example of how to slow down and find beauty and meaning in the small things. You’ll also discover the connection between careful observation and the powerful Jewish concept of Hineini (in fact, one cannot exist without the other). Copies of Travelogue will be available for purchase.
This event is free and open and all are welcome. Bring your own beverages. Snacks will be provided.
