Here in the Asheville Jewish community, we are truly blessed with a tremendous number of volunteers, professional leaders and dedicated organizations that far surpass our numbers. One of the earliest organizations to form was the Asheville Jewish Community Center, which opened in ’40s. For nearly 80 years, the JCC has served as a resource to strengthen Jewish identity and share Jewish culture. Today, the JCC is a vibrant community center that welcomes people of every age, background and belief to participate in its many educational, social and cultural programs.
Recently, the JCC completed a significant expansion and renovation – a response to the steady influx of families into the community – and is now ready to undertake a strategic planning process to chart the JCC’s course for the future. This process will, in large part, inform the JCC leadership how to proceed in offering the most meaningful, fun and engaging programs, as well as the important services that will enable it to continue to serve the entire Asheville community.
Your input is critical to ensure the plans and vision for the future of the Asheville JCC support the interests and aspirations of the people it serves.
