From the beginning of Selichot (Sept 1st, 9pm) until the end of Simchat Torah (late morning on October 2nd), this is your CBI High Holiday guide. In this corner of the website, you'll find just about everything you need to know about celebrating Rosh HaShannah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah with the CBI community.
Important Location Information
Due to the renovations of our permanent facility, this year's High Holiday services will be held at:
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville,
1 Edwin Place, Asheville, NC 28801.
Where to Park?
The two parking lots at the main entrance to the UU church will be reserved for handicapped parking and church staff parking. If you have a handicapped sticker or license plate on your car, you are welcome to park there while there are spaces available. If you need assistance in finding a space elsewhere, our Security Committee volunteers will do our best to help. General parking will be along the streets in the neighborhood surrounding the church. Please do not park in the JCC main lot, as construction vehicles will need that space. However, you may use the JCC pool parking lot at the corner of Clyde Street and North Crescent Street. It’s not such a bad walk, assuming the weather is good. Thank you for your understanding.
Flowers for the Bimah
If you would be willing to sponsor or donate a flower arrangement for the bimah during the High Holidays, please contact the CBI office at 252-8660 or email@example.com. Your donation can be dedicated in honor, in memory, or in appreciation of someone, and your gift will be recognized in the Ha’Shofar monthly bulletin.
