Judaics Position at CBI

CBI is seeking a part-time Judaics Coordinator and Instructor to be part of our dynamic
Youth Education Program (YEP).  Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, be organized and detail oriented, as well as being a creative thinker.  A
background in Judaics Youth education is essential.  Qualified candidates should contact
Judaics Coordinator
12-months – estimated 5-8 hours a month
 Outreach and recruiting
 Represent CBI and YEP positively within and beyond the CBI community
 Conduct outreach and engagement efforts to recruit new students/families to
YEP.  This could  include social media, open house, phone calls, and other

 Judaics curriculum support and development/documentation
 Document all Judaics curriculum materials
 Work with Rabbi, Hebrew instructor and ED to develop curriculum for the
year and coordinate with this team each persons’ responsibilities
 Prepare & teach* monthly, age-appropriate lesson plan for the Sunday School
(in some cases, it may be appropriate to split the kids into two age groups)
(10 months)
 Enlist and coordinate with volunteer congregant instructors*, as needed
 Logistics
 Be present (or manage via zoom) during Sunday School hours (9:45am to
12:15pm) for the monthly class (10 months)
 Lead the creation of the annual calendar in coordination with Rabbi, ED and
Hebrew teacher
 Manage enrollment paperwork and billing coordination with Office Manager
 Enlist and manage volunteers as needed
 Communication
 Provide weekly informative and engaging communication with parents via
email and by phone, as needed
 Provide regular communication with Rabbi & ED regarding administrative
needs, calendar, logistics, supplies etc.
 Help “make the call” on Sunday snow days – sending out emails to
parents/teachers with updates
