Here, we grow again. Join us for Shabbat morning services on Saturday April 6, 2019 as we welcome sisters, Judi and Rabbi Patti Haskell into the CBI family.
Judi grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and belonged to a reform congregation. She was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice for many years. Her second career was as a Conservative Synagogue Administrator, working with the Rabbi to create an Executive Director position as the community grew. She learned more about Judaism and became a Bat Mitzvah with a group of women from her Synagogue. With her love of Bead Weaving she became the co-owner of a bead store in Northampton, MA. Recently she built and moved into her dream home in Asheville. She enjoys theatre, reading, crafting, cooking, and spending time with her cats.
Rabbi Patti took a slightly different path to Asheville.
I was born, I grew, and I continue on.
One lifetime, many paths:
Early on, teacher to young.
Before the mountains of Asheville:
Rabbi to elders on the other coast.
And in between:
Seller of art,
Owner of Gallery Wear.
Always daughter, sister, mother,
And now mother-in-law,
Once I was wife (but
That was another life).
We’re thrilled to have Judi and Patti join the family and hope you can help us welcome them. Don’t be shy; everyone has a story to share. CBI is where all our paths intersect.
